Mondul Estate - Tanzania
The Mondul Estate was established in 1931 and acquired by Burka Estates in 2007. Thanks to Burka’s strict conservation policies, a plethora of wildlife and vegetation are able to thrive in the area, including over 120 species of bird that are attracted to the abundant flora and fauna that this forest area provides. Mondul has a natural spring, which supplies the wet mill where these cherries are sorted, de-pulped, and soaked. The water is recirculated, and waste cherry pulp is also mixed with worms to produce organic fertiliser, so everything the farm produces is returned back to the land. Burka also has its own cupping facilities on site, so that samples of each day’s lot can be cupped and assessed for quality. In the cup, you’ll find creamy peach and roasted pecans.
Processing: Washed
