FAQs
‘I’m no longer able to collect & would like my coffee delivered’
Don’t worry! Follow this link to add a postage fee to your order (and pop your original order number in the notes) & we’ll get it sent out to you on our next delivery day.
If you’re using Apple Pay at checkout, you may not be charged for postage. Please use this link to add postage to your order if you’d like it sent out to you.
‘Card or Cash?’
We are currently card only, or you can also pre-order on our website for collection.
‘When will my coffee arrive?’
Our order deadlines are Mondays and Thursdays at 1pm. If you live within BS1-BS9, your order will be delivered by our lovely bike couriers within 2 days. If you live a little further afield, please allow up to 3 days for your coffee from the time that your order has been confirmed for it to arrive.
If you have any specific questions about a recent order that you’ve placed, you can email us at hello@blindowlcoffee.com.
‘Can I send coffee to a friend?’
You can! Just pop their details in the “shipping address” & your order will be sent to them instead. If you want them to know who it’s from, you can leave a note in the “delivery notes” section at checkout & we’ll do our best to include a handwritten note in your order. We also have a range of hand-wrapped gifts that are perfect for sharing the love as well!
‘How long is coffee fresh for?’
We roast all of our coffee in small batches & to order - this means that the beans that you get from us have never been sat on a shelf for weeks on end, & you’ll receive them at their best flavour. We recommend keeping your coffee in a cool, dark place & keeping them air-tight in order to elongate their shelf life. You’ll get the best flavours out of whole beans within 2 months of their roast date, & from ground coffee within one month of their roast date.
‘Is your coffee organic?’
The short answer is, no, our coffees are not certified organic.
However, many of the coffees that we buy DO meet the specifications of being “organic” (this includes not using chemical pesticides & herbicides etc.) but as it is an expensive process for the farmers & collectives that grow these coffees to get them authenticated as being organic, they are without official certification.
We try to work closely with our suppliers & directly with the farms where we can to ensure that we buy coffees that support a fair wage to their workers & are ethically harvested with full transparency.
